As we reach half term, we would all like to say a big well done to everyone for engaging so positively with remote learning. We hope you have enjoyed having more engagement with your teachers and fellow students. It is not the same as being in school, we know, but hopefully you have found the lessons interesting and enjoyable.
We really understand and appreciate the impact that lockdown will be having on everyone – it is not an easy time for anyone and just a reminder that, if you need any support, then please let us know at school. Attached for you to watch is a short Youtube video by Dr Alex George a consultant in an A and E department in a London hospital. It might give you some basic tips to help you over half term to ensure that you get some rest and some relaxation.
Thank you for completing the online questionnaire recently. We now have the results of the questionnaire and the additional comments and we will be making contact with those students and parents who have requested it. Overwhelmingly, you have said that you are enjoying and appreciating the online learning and that you much prefer it to uploaded resources. Some of you have said that you feel a bit overwhelmed with the amount of work that we have been setting you: please remember that you can only do your best and that this is all we expect of you. If you have asked for some further support via the questionnaire, we will be in touch.
We all hope that you have a good half term and we look forward to carrying on our remote learning after half term – hopefully, by then, we will know the latest national plans for schools returning.
With very best wishes, Mrs Brett
