FREE Breakfast Provision for All Students
We are thrilled to offer a FREE Breakfast provision for all our students through the National School Breakfast Programme. This program runs from 8:15 until registration time and provides bagels or cereal bar and a drink.
Benefits of Having Breakfast
Starting the day with a nutritious breakfast offers numerous benefits for students:
1. Improved Concentration and Focus: Eating a balanced breakfast provides the brain with the necessary nutrients and energy to stay alert and focused throughout the morning lessons.
2. Better Academic Performance: Studies have shown that students who eat breakfast regularly tend to perform better academically, as they have the energy and concentration required for learning.
3. Increased Attendance and Punctuality: Students who have breakfast are less likely to experience hunger-related distractions, leading to improved attendance and punctuality.
4. Healthier Eating Habits: Breakfast kickstarts the metabolism and helps establish healthy eating patterns for the rest of the day.
5. Improved Mood and Behaviour: A nutritious breakfast can help regulate mood and behaviour, contributing to a more positive and productive learning environment.
About the National School Breakfast Programme
The National School Breakfast Programme is funded by the Department for Education and run by Family Action to support schools in England in providing children with a healthy breakfast at the start of the school day. Family Action is committed to supporting child development and believes that a healthy school breakfast, without barrier or stigma, can set up children to succeed and give them the very best chance to learn.
Feedback from our students and parents has been fantastic, with the students enjoying the opportunity to have breakfast with their friends before school.
